Exodus 2:22-24

²² Then she gave birth to ^(A)a son, and he named him ^[a]Gershom, for he said, “I have been ^(B)a stranger in a foreign land.”

²³ Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel ^(C)groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and ^(D)their cry for help because of their bondage ascended to God. ²⁴ So ^(E)God heard their groaning; and God remembered ^(F)His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
